• South Pasadena Senior Center to Host Planning Workshop (southpasadenan.com) — South Pasadena is offering a free planning workshop for adults caring for aging parents on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the South Pasadena Senior Center on Oxley Street. You'll hear from experts on healthcare directives, elder law, estate protection, and memory loss, with time for questions and connections to local service providers. Dial-A-Ride rides are available by reservation for residents who need transportation.
   

• Girls' Volleyball: La Salle Regroups to Storm Past South Pasadena (outlooknewspapers.com) — South Pasadena High's girls' volleyball team pushed host La Salle to four tight sets in a nonleague tune-up but ultimately fell 20-25, 25-14, 25-13, 26-24. Coaches highlighted the Tigers' growth, resilience, and strong performances from key hitters as they prepare for upcoming league play, giving local fans a clear sense of the team's progress.
   

• 'And so it goes…': Liana Flores' love letter to who we'll become — EP Review (melodicmag.com) — Liana Flores' new EP, And so it goes…, blends bossa nova, jazz, and intimate folk as she sings about independence, city life, and emotional growth. Alongside praising her songwriting and standout tracks like "Here to stay," the review notes she'll bring the project to South Pasadena's Sid The Cat Auditorium on Nov. 5. Local fans can already start eyeing tickets for her fall tour stop.
