2 Officers Injured Arresting Burglary Suspects

The trio was cuffed after a business break-in in South San Francisco, police said.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Two officers suffered minor injuries while taking into custody
suspects who had tried to burglarize a business in South San Francisco early this morning, according to police.

At about 3 a.m., someone reported two male suspects breaking into a business in the 200 block of East Grand Avenue.

Officers responded and spotted the pair trying to break into the building. They fled but were quickly detained along with a third suspect who was waiting in a getaway vehicle, police said.

Deandre Rivera, 23, Michael Nelson, 25, both of Oakland, and Dawan Grant, 23, of Antioch, were arrested and booked into county jail on suspicion of attempted commercial burglary, vandalism, conspiracy and resisting arrest, police said.

Police did not elaborate on how the two officers were injured.
