88-Degree Weather Headed For South San Francisco

Temperatures will likely spike this week on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. (breaking)

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA β€” Get ready for some increasingly warmer temperatures around the Peninsula this work week before they start to drop again. That's the message from the National Weather Service Monday morning. Those on the coastline will get a bit of a break, though, with cooler temperatures expected to arrive sooner than elsewhere in the Bay Area.

"Warm offshore pattern will continue at least through Wednesday with mild nights and breezy winds in the hills," the NWS says of the current weather pattern. "Some coastal cooling possible by Thursday with a gradual cooling trend back to more seasonable temperatures by next weekend but with a continued dry weather pattern."
