• South San Francisco's 'Festa Italiana' 2026 Festival (funcheap.com) — South San Francisco residents can enjoy the free Festa Italiana celebration at Orange Memorial Park on Saturday, September 19, 2026, featuring live Italian music, food, vendors, and dancers. The day also includes a car show, the Bordi Memorial Bocce Tournament, community group displays in Fernekes Recreation Center, and a special Museo Italo Americano exhibit.
   

• BART service resumes between San Bruno, Colma; some disruptions remain (nbcbayarea.com) — BART has restored service between San Bruno and Colma after a morning shutdown caused by train control equipment problems near South San Francisco, but riders should still expect residual delays. South City commuters on the Yellow and Red lines, plus those heading toward SFO and Millbrae, may face slower trips as normal service is gradually restored and earlier substation issues continue to ripple through Peninsula schedules.
