South San Francisco police say they are still investigating the pursuit, use of force, and her actions, and are asking anyone with information to contact the department.
• San Mateo County Harbor District Trains Pillar Point and Oyster Point Harbor Masters and Commercial Fishing Fleet on Cold Water Survival, Man Overboard, Helicopter Rescue, Life Raft Deployment (coastsidebuzz.com) — San Mateo County Harbor District commissioners are meeting in person at South San Francisco's City Council Chambers to review new cold-water safety and rescue training for Pillar Point Harbor and Oyster Point Marina staff. The training aims to improve emergency responses for commercial fishers and harbor users, with plans for a two-day safety course in early December. Residents can also watch meetings remotely and contact commissioners directly.
• Measure RTM Explained: The Sales Tax To Save Public Transit (inglesidelight.com) — Regional Measure RTM could significantly affect South San Francisco commuters, with supporters warning BART might close stations in Colma, San Bruno, and South San Francisco and slash service by 70% without new funding. The proposal would add a one-cent sales tax in San Francisco and a half-cent in nearby counties for 14 years to stabilize BART, Muni, Caltrain, SamTrans and other transit agencies.
