Assemblymember Kevin Mullin Visits Pacifica for Breakfast

The former city councilmember and mayor of South San Francisco will be the next guest speaker at the upcoming Pacifica-Daly City Democrats breakfast meeting.

Assemblymember KevinΒ MullinΒ (D-San Mateo), representing District 22,Β will be the nextΒ guest speaker at the upcoming Pacifica-Daly City Democrats breakfast meetingΒ on Saturday,Β Jan. 18, at theΒ Sharp Park Golf Course Restaurant in Pacifica.

Mullin's topics will includeΒ a review of the legislation that he has authored in his first full year in office. One of his top priorities as a new state legislator has been to focus on long term bi-partisan efforts to achieve consensus and movement forward on behalf of the residents of the State of CaliforniaΒ "to continue progress, economic growth, and most importantly, a sustainable budget."

Prior to his election to the Assembly, Mullin wasΒ a former city councilmember and mayor of South San Francisco, a local business owner and former district director for then-State Senator Jackie Speier (now Congresswoman) and a political director for his father, former State Assemblymember Gene Mullin.

Shortly after his election to the Assembly, Mullin was named Assistant Speaker Pro-TemporeΒ by Assembly Speaker John Perez. In this capacity he presides over the Assembly floor session as needed. His legislative priorities will be to promote job creation, enhance education and workforce development systems, encourage environmentally sustainable regional planning and work in a bipartisan way to reform state governance.Β He represents theΒ 22nd Assembly District, whichΒ includes the cities of Belmont, Brisbane, Burlingame, Foster City, Hillsborough, Millbrae, Pacifica, Redwood City, San Bruno, San Carlos, San Mateo and portions of South San Francisco.

Mullin serves on the following committees: Assembly Utilities and Commerce Committee, Budget, Budget Subcommittee #4 on State Administration, Business and Professions, Local Government, Public Employees, Retirement, and Social Security, and Revenue and Taxation.

He lives in South San Francisco with his wife, Jessica Stanfill Mullin, and their beagle, Sunshine.

All Pacifica-Daly City Democrats meetings are open to the public. It is neither necessary to be a club member, nor a Democrat to attend. A full breakfast is available for $12; continental for $6 and coffee only for $3. However, no purchase is necessary. Doors open atΒ 9 a.m.Β Seating is between 9-9:30 a.m.Β The meeting begins atΒ 9:30 a.m. in theΒ rear banquet room of the Sharp Park Golf Course Restaurant, Hwy. 1 and Sharp Park Blvd., Pacifica.
