Bay Area Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing 3 Children: Police
Police arrested Rafael Cortez-Ramirez, 55, on suspicion of 12 felony counts relating to sexual abuse of a child and lewd acts with a child.
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — South San Fransisco Police Department arrested a man on Thursday on 12 felony counts relating to sexual abuse of a child and lewd acts with a child. He was living in a home that included an unlicensed daycare center, but it is unclear if these charges are related to the daycare center at his residence, located at 500 block of Third Lane, South San Fransisco.
The man, 55-year-old resident Rafael Cortez-Ramirez, works as a dishwasher. Police began investigating on Saturday, January 6, after an unnamed juvenile victim reported sexual abuse. Three juvenile victims were identified during the investigation.
Police are requesting that anyone with information on Cortez-Ramirez, or whose children attended the unlicensed daycare on the 500 block of Third Lane between 2010 and 2019, are being asked to contact Sergeant Sariotti or Detective Quintero at 650-877-8900. Cortez-Ramirez was identified by police as being 5'7" and 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
