Planning a Halloween night for a large group can be complicated. One person wants to dance, someone else wants to find drink specials and another person wants to stop for food. The San Francisco Halloween Pub Crawl makes it easier by bringing all of those options together in one multi-bar event.
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, CrawlSF will launch its four-day <a href="https://crawloween.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Halloween Pub Crawl</a> with more than 20 participating locations. Every participant must check in at Mayes to collect an official event wristband. Once the group has completed check-in, everyone can begin visiting the participating bars. The event does not use a fixed tour schedule, so groups can choose their own stops and change plans as the night continues.
The October 24 bar list includes Union Street Ale House, Route 101, El Lopo, Rick &amp; Roxy’s, Hanaro, The Blue Light, Jaxson, Decodance, Beso Mae, Mayes Oyster House, Lush Lounge, R Bar, Uni Pizza, Wizards &amp; Wands, Campus, White Rabbit, Silver Cloud, Music City Starfactory, Sacred Taco, Comet Club, Rockwell, McTeague’s Saloon and Westwood.
This range of locations helps solve one of the biggest problems with group outings. Everyone does not have to agree on a single bar for the entire night. The group can move around, experience different settings and select the locations that work best for everyone.
Participants who want music and dancing can seek out locations featuring DJs. Guests who prefer casual bars can find places where it is easier to talk and spend time with friends. Food stops are also included in the participating lineup, providing opportunities to take a break during the six-hour event.
Tickets include discounted drinks at participating locations and free admission to official bars. Guests can also enjoy party favors, contests, music, Halloween activities and surprises. Costumes are encouraged, making the crawl a good choice for birthday groups, friend gatherings, coworkers, couples and anyone looking for an organized <a href="https://halloweensf.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">San Francisco Halloween</a> outing.
Because the event takes place on October 24, groups do not have to compete with every other Halloween plan scheduled for October 31. They can celebrate early and still attend another party the following weekend. Guests can even use the opening event for a group costume and choose individual costumes for Halloween night.
The full CrawlSF series continues with events on October 30, October 31 and November 1. Attending October 24 provides access to the opening event. Admission to other dates will depend on the ticket type purchased.
CrawlSF will also be trying to build on its record-setting 2025 Halloween event. After breaking the World’s Largest Pub Crawl record, the company hopes to break its own record in 2026. Every group that participates on opening day will help start that effort.

Halloween 2026 will not have to wait until nighttime to get started. Crawloween begins at 2PM on Saturday, October 31, giving participants a full afternoon and evening to celebrate at more than 50 San Francisco bars. With over 20,000 people expected, the event will bring a huge collection of costumes, drink specials, contests and parties to several of the city’s busiest nightlife neighborhoods.

<a href="https://crawloween.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Crawloween</a> broke the world record for the World’s Largest Pub Crawl in 2025 after attracting more than 25,000 participants. The 2026 Halloween Saturday event is expected to be the largest day of the new four-day series.

 How the Day Unfolds
2PM: Crawloween Begins
Official check-in locations open for participants to collect their event materials and prepare for the crawl. Groups can start at Mayes Oyster House on Polk Street, Rick &amp; Roxy’s on Lombard Street or Union Street Ale House on Union Street.
Afternoon: Explore the Route
Guests can begin visiting participating bars in the Marina, Russian Hill, Polk Gulch, Union Square and other areas. The early hours are a good time to grab food, meet friends and visit popular stops before the biggest crowds arrive.
Throughout the Event: Drink Specials and Free Entry
Participating venues will offer discounted drinks for Crawloween guests. Ticket holders also receive free entry at included locations, so they can move around the route without paying a separate admission charge at every bar.
Afternoon and Evening: Party Bus Service
The free Pub Crawl Party Bus will connect key sections of the event. Participants can use the shuttle to reach more bars and experience different parts of San Francisco during the crawl.
During the Crawl: Contests and Party Favors
Guests can compete in the Costume Contest and take part in the Find the Gnome Contest. Party favors and entertainment at select locations add to the Halloween atmosphere.
10PM: Official Pub Crawl Ends, but the party is just getting started
The freedom to create a personal route is a major part of Crawloween. This is not a tour where every participant must follow a leader or arrive at each bar at a set time. Guests can choose locations based on music, food, atmosphere or where their friends are gathering. One group may stay near Polk Street, while another moves between Union Street and Lombard Street. The large venue list leaves room for both plans.
