Clubhouse Burned In Daly City Fire

The cause of the weekend fire is under investigation. (breaking)

DALY CITY, CA β€” A two-alarm fire over the weekend burned a clubhouse at a condominium community in Daly City, North County Fire Authority officials said. At 11:43 a.m. Saturday firefighters went to the Crown Colony community clubhouse at 379 Imperial Way where they found smoke coming from the building's attic vents, chimney and rear pool area.

Firefighters entered the building through the front door and lower level pool area and were able to keep the fire from spreading beyond the men's workout/locker area and the kitchen above it, according to fire officials.

But smoke damaged the rest of the building. Firefighters stayed at the clubhouse for more than three hours making sure fire didn't spread anywhere else, completing overhaul operations and mopping up.
