Coast Guard Plane Hits Runway At SFO

The runway was closed for about 20 minutes after the incident, officials reported.

SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, CA β€” The wing of a U.S. Coast Guard twin-engine plane clipped the runway at San Francisco International Airport Tuesday, an airport duty manager said.

The plane's wing hit the runway at 4 about p.m., airport duty manager Maria Buyco said. The runway was closed for about 20 minutes.

No one was injured, however, Buyco said parts of the plane's wing were damaged.
