CVS Photo Site Suffers Possible Credit Data Breach
The Woonsocket, RI-based company is warning customers and the site is temporarily shut down.
Woonsocket-based CVS is notifying customers of its online photo printing service that theyβve detected a possible data breach.
The photo service is temporarily shut down as they investigate, the company said, and credit card data and other personal information might have been stolen.

Customers visiting the CVSphoto.com site were greeted with a message Friday that said the credit card information was collected by an independent vendor who βmanages and hosts CVSPhoto.com.β
βAs a precaution, as our investigation is underway, we are temporarily shutting down access to online and related mobile photo services,β the message stated.

The customer information on the site is βcompletely separateβ from CVS.com and the pharmacies. Purchases on CVS.com and in the stores are not affected.
