Date Night: International Street Food Cooking Class with Parties That Cook - January 09, 2016
Join us at our North Beach kitchen and event space for a hands-on cooking class featuring international street food recipes
Do you love to travel and explore new cuisines? Are you always trying the latest and greatest food truck? Join Parties That Cook in our North Beach kitchen where we test and write recipes inspired by the foods we’ve tasted around the world. In this hands-on cooking class we’ll teach you how to create a variety of savory street food favorites. You’ll start by rolling falafel so light and fluffy you’ll think you were back in the old city of Jerusalem. We’ll crisscross the globe to Vietnam where you’ll prepare a miniature Banh Mi with an addictive homemade pickled carrot slaw. You’ll stretch pizza dough to create a classic Italian Pizza Margherita and then bounce to Brazil to make crispy Fish Croquettes with Persimmon Aioli! Your culinary journey will end in Argentina where you’ll learn two classic techniques to create an iconic street sweet. Bring a bottle of wine from anywhere on the globe to share with the group. No passport required!

FAQ’S and Chef’s Notes:
· Students will receive electronic copies of all recipes.
· This is an active, hands-on class so we suggest long pants and comfortable, closed-toed/rubber soled shoes.
· Knives and utensils provided for in-class use.
· Parking is limited in the North Beach area. Please provide for extra time to find a space. If space is limited, we recommend the parking lot at Northpoint Centre Shopping Center, at 350 Bay St, San Francisco, CA 94133.
· No one under 21 years old will be admitted.
· Appetizer-sized portions of all menu items are served.
· Due to time constraints, not all participants will make all menu items and recipes.
· We cook with the best seasonal ingredients. Farmers are at the hands of Mother Nature and so are we. Therefore, menu ingredients are subject to change should the need arise.
