Drugged Driver To Blame For South San Francisco Crash, Police Say

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA – A 51-year-old man was arrested early Thursday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after he crashed his vehicle into a metal fence in South San Francisco, according to police.

The crash was reported at 1:32 a.m. in the 300 block of Shaw Road, according to police. When authorities got to the scene, they say they found a vehicle that had struck a fence adjacent to the street.

"The police investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle, identified as 51-year-old Ronald Cerri, was driving his vehicle under the influence of a drug," police said in a news release. "Cerri was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and transported to the hospital."
