California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform will hold a day-long forum to discuss the "increasing misuse of psychotropic drugs as treatment for dementia."
The conference will include talks on drug-free ways to care for those with advanced dementia. Tony Chicotel, staff attorney for CANHR, will be a keynote speaker with his talk, "Stop Drugging Our Elders!"
The event is sponsored by the California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform, the Ombudsman Services of Northern California and Ombudsman Services of San Mateo County.
