Ten hardworking school district employees were awarded Golden Apple awards for their commitment to South San Francisco's schools and children at the school district's annual ceremony on Wednesday afternoon. "While numerous employees are deserving, the board presents only a select number each year," said Acting Superintendent Adolfo Melara. The board also recognized 33 staff members who were retiring; they have given over 735 years of combined service to the district over their careers.
