Yes, 'National Yogurt Day' is a real thing.

Frozen Yogurt lovers will have something delicious to celebrate in the first week of February. Thatβs because Yogurtland and Menchieβs locations across California will be handing out free frozen yogurt and toppings.
According to Yogurtland, they are teaming up with Hersheyβs to offer the sweet deal on Feb. 2. Keep in mind, this promotion will only be available from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

βThis year, Yogurtlandβs celebration of all things frozen yogurt will include the debut of two new handcrafted flavors created with Hershey β York Peppermint Pattie and Hersheyβs Chocolate Milkshake, and two new toppings York Peppermint Patties Minis and Hersheyβs Mini Kisses,β an announcement from the company states.
Youβll be able to try those new flavors out on National Yogurt Day, as long as supplies last.

However, if you donβt happen to be a huge chocolate fan, representatives tell Patch that you can score any flavor and unlimited toppings when you visit for the promotion.
As for Menchieβs, they are offering a similar deal, but it will run on Feb. 6, and last an hour longerβ until 8 p.m.
Promotional materials for that company state that you can get a free frozen yogurt up to 6 oz when visiting.
