June 27, 2026 : Our Lady of Perpetual Help Feast: Annual Fiesta Daly City

June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus but on June 27 is a special day dedicated to Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Time magazine says Mary is the most famous woman on earth being the mother of Jesus. Mary has a lot of titles but the top two globally are Our Lady of Guadalupe and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. We need especially in current world problems - Help coming from divine sources. If you need help in any kind of problem , ask for guidance and help to Our Lady of Perpetual Help who’s known for her miracles.

Our Lady of Perpetual Church at 60 Wellington Daly City has a novena from June 18 to 26; on June 27, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church holds its annual fiesta at 4 pm mass, followed by an outdoor procession , later with fellowship composed of dinner and program of entertainment. Father Augusto E. Villote is the pastor at OLPH, was awarded with a Pastoral award by the Knight of Columbus along with Deacon Fred Totah of St Timothy in which the Archbishop of San Francisco Cordileone was also present last January 23, 2026

Our Lady of Perpetual Church is very dear to the author(me); although I lived in SSF I drove all the way to Daly City because it felt home together with Filipinos and Latinos . St Veronica’s was more of Italian and Irish. OLPH parish was always in top 3 in church attendance in the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

In the past, June was a busy month for me as President of the Archconfraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in preparation for the Annual fiesta such as novena materials, flyers, float for the procession around the street starting at Top of the Hill(permit from Daly City Police), performers for entertainment, potluck food from parishioners, flowers arrangements, publicity release.

The most endearing part was I was able to compose the lyrics and music of Our Lady of Perpetual which debut in Rome in 1992 sung to the original icon at St Alphonsus de Liguori Church. Thanks to Sr Illuminada Bite who also asked the pastor Fr Antonio Rey that the song should be sung during the novena.

The song has been sung internationally in Europe, Israel, Africa, Philippines. Locally, the song I composed is still being sung until today at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and Holy Angels Church in Daly City.
