Late Season Storm Expected To Bring Rain To Peninsula Overnight
The storm will probably pass Thursday night, but showers could linger through early Friday morning, forecasters say.
A late-season storm expected to hit the Bay Area Wednesday could bring wet weather and slick roadways until early Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service. The system is forecast to move onshore overnight, with rainfall for northern and central areas of California. Rainfall is expected to be light.

Some parts of the North Bay could receive more than three-quarters of an inch of rain. The Santa Cruz Mountains can expect between one-quarter and one-half inch of rain, with higher amounts possible in some areas, but other areas of the South Bay are forecast to get one-tenth of an inch or less.

San Francisco, San Mateo County and the East Bay can look forward to one-tenth to one-quarter inch of rain.
Dry weather is expected over the weekend.
