Man Arrested on Suspicion of Fourth DUI in South San Francisco

Police say the man took off running when they tried to stop him, but they eventually caught up with him.

South San Francisco, CA – Police arrested a 52-year-old man Friday morning in South San Francisco after officers saw him driving and recognized him as an alleged repeat DUI offender.

Around 8:35 a.m., officers were enforcing speed limits near Hillside Boulevard and Holly Avenue, according to police.

During the operation, officers recognized a vehicle being driven by South San Francisco resident Corey Eamon, police said.

Eamon is allegedly a repeat DUI offender who has had his license suspended, according to police.

When officers tried to pull over Eamon, he allegedly abandoned his car near Evergreen Drive and ran. Officers, however, were able to catch up with him, police said.

Officers discovered Eamon's license had in fact been suspended for a previous DUI conviction. Additionally, allegedly he was also found to be under influence of alcohol, according to police.

Officers arrested Eamon on suspicion of driving on a suspended license, DUI and driving while under the influence for a fourth time within a 10-year period, police said.
