Man Bites Off Another Man's Finger in San Francisco Fight: Police

The two men got in a physical fight and the suspect fled the area after biting the other man's finger off, according to officers.

A man bit off another man’s finger during a fight in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood early Tuesday morning, police said.

Officers said the suspect, a 30-year-old man, bit off the right index finger of a 27-year-old man on Mission Street just south of Cesar Chavez Street around 1 a.m.

The two men got in a physical fight and the suspect fled the area after biting the other man’s finger off, according to officers.

Police said the victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The suspect has not yet been arrested and the assault remains under investigation, police said.
