Man Hospitalized in South San Francisco Drive-By Shooting: Police

Police say the man was shot while standing near his house on Halloween.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — South San Francisco police are looking for those responsible for a drive-by shooting that sent a 21-year-old man to the hospital on Halloween, officials say.

According to the agency, the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday in the 3900 block of Reston Court. A vehicle, with an unknown number of people inside, pulled up to a house where a man and his cousin were standing outside.

"One of the passengers of the vehicle fired several rounds from a small caliber pistol in the direction of the individuals striking the victim one time in his lower extremities," police said in a news release.

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The cousin was not hit.

No arrests were made in the case as of Monday morning and a description of a suspect or the suspect vehicle was not immediately available.
