Man Robbed In SF After Mistaking Vehicle For Taxi

The two suspects allegedly stole the man's bag, phone, wallet, cash and electronic tablet, police said.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- A man was robbed in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood early this morning after he got into a vehicle that he mistook for a taxi, police said.

The victim, a 49-year-old man, was looking for a cab around 2:30 a.m. in the 700 block of O'Farrell Street when he got into a vehicle that he mistook for a cab, police said. Two suspects, a man and a woman, got out of the vehicle and took the victim's property, including a bag, phone, wallet, cash and electronic tablet, police said.

The suspects then fled in an unknown direction, and had not been arrested as of this morning, according to police.
