Man Robbed in South San Francisco After Trying to Sell Gold Chain on Craigslist
The victim placed an ad on the website to sell a gold chain and received a call from a man posing as an interested buyer, police said.

South San Francisco police are investigating an armed robbery Monday in which the suspect used Craigslist to target his victim.
The victim placed an ad on the classified listings website to sell a gold chain and received a call from a man posing as an interested buyer, police said.

The victim agreed to meet the man in the 800 block of Olive Avenue to finalize the sale, but when the victim arrived, the suspect robbed him at gunpoint, police said.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man about 25 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing a red coat and blue jeans, according to police.
