Midday Peninsula DUI Crash Lands Man In Cuffs: Police
It was just before noon when the allegedly drunk man crashed into a parked car in town and then fled the scene, police said.

PACIFICA, CA — A 55-year-old Pacifica man was arrested Friday after crashing into a parked car in the middle of the day — while drunk, police said. The man is accused of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a crash.
It happened around 11:45 a.m. in the area of Peralta Road and Arguello Boulevard, according to Pacifica police.
"The reporting party informed the dispatcher they were following the driver of the other involved vehicle who was leaving the scene on foot," police said in a news release.

Police were able to catch up with the person who was running away on Linda Mar Boulevard near Adobe Drive and "observed symptoms of intoxication," officials said.
"After further investigation officers determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision and he was placed under arrest," police said.

Scott Garland, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and leaving the scene of a collision. He was later booked at a sobering facility," according to police.
