Morning Collision Kills 1 On Hwy 101

BREAKING: Lanes were closed near South San Francisco after a pedestrian was struck, CHP said.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – All lanes are open on southbound U.S. Highway 101 at Grand Avenue in South San Francisco following a fatal collision, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

The collision was first reported at 3:12 a.m. and involved a vehicle that struck a pedestrian.

A Sig-alert was issued at 3:59 a.m. because all southbound lanes were blocked on U.S. Highway 101.
