Oyster Point Dock Improvement Project To Bid

The county Harbor District is now looking for proposals to replace two docks at Oyster Point.

As of Thursday, the San Mateo County Harbor District is accepting bid proposals for the replacement of two docks at Oyster Point Marina.

"These docks have reached the end of their design life and need to be extensively rebuilt or reconfigured," Harbor District General Manager Peter Grenell said last month. 

According to Grenell, the city of South San Francisco plans to reimburse the district $2 million for the Dock 11 part of the project.

The district hopes to begin on the improvements this fall, as soon as the contract is awarded. The bid proposal submittal deadline is Oct. 9.

According to the district's public notice, above here, "The work includes, but is not limited to: demolition and removal of existing structures and utilities including: timber floating docks, concrete ramps, concrete access piers including gangways, miscellaneous concrete slabs, footings and foundations, guide piles, design, fabrication and installation of docks, design, fabrication and providing new concrete guide piles."
