SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A 49-year-old man is accused of setting a woman's car on fire in San Bruno, shortly after he sent her threatening messages and rammed her with his car, police said Wednesday.
Police responded at 12:33 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a car fire on the 500 block of Redwood Avenue in San Bruno. After investigating, police determined that the fire had been deliberately set by Jeffrey Carr, of Pacifica.
Police discovered that Carr had recently sent "malicious and threatening messages to the victim," and three days earlier had rammed his car into a car she was in, the San Bruno Police Department said in a release.
