Heads Up! PG&E Using Helicopters For Transmission Tower Upgrades
"While no traffic impacts or road closures are expected, drivers and passersby are reminded to stay safe and not become distracted."

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA β Starting on Wednesday, Aug. 16, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) will fly helicopters to upgrade high voltage electric transmission towers in San Mateo County. The aerial work will take place near San Bruno Mountain State Park and will be visible to residents and passersby in the cities of Daly City and Brisbane.
People in the area may see PG&E crews using helicopters to transport materials and electric technicians to and from towers as they upgrade equipment. While no traffic impacts or road closures are expected, drivers and passersby are reminded to stay safe and not become distracted.
PG&E uses helicopters to complete projects in a safe and efficient manner, to reduce the need for heavy trucks and equipment on the ground and to lessen environmental impacts. This work is not expected to affect electric service to customers.
