Police Arrest Man Accused of Molesting at Least Four Girls

Kyle Clifton Vogt, 36, is suspected of victimizing at least four girls between 5 and 13 years old, according to police.

A South San Francisco man has been arrested on suspicion of molesting at least four girls, and investigators believe there might be more victims, according to police.

Following a two-week investigation, Kyle Clifton Vogt, 36, was arrested at his home at 1145 Hillside Blvd. on March 1, South San Francisco police announced today.

Investigators seized evidence from the man's home that is still being analyzed.

Between 2000 and 2012, Vogt is suspected of victimizing at least four girls between 5 and 13 years old, police said.

The allegations include sexual intercourse and rape of one of the victims, child annoyance and inappropriate touching, police said.

Vogt, who held various jobs in the auto industry, does not have an extensive criminal history and has lived in South San Francisco since 2003.

Police are asking the public's help in identifying or locating additional juvenile victims. Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact the South San Francisco Police Detective Ken Chetcuti by calling (650) 877-8910 or by email at ken.chetcuti@ssf.net.

The suspect is known to have driven a 1980s blue Toyota pickup truck and a burgundy 1970s Chevy Monte Carlo.

Vogt is being held without bail in the San Mateo County Jail.

He is scheduled to appear in court to enter a plea on March 9.
