Police Arrest San Bruno Man on Suspicion of DUI After Crash

Police believe Gerardo Mercado was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.

Police arrested a 54-year-old San Bruno man on suspicion of DUI after the vehicle he was driving crashed into two parked vehicles Saturday in South San Francisco, police said.

At about 4:10 p.m., the driver, Gerardo Mercado, was traveling south in the unit block of Camaritas Avenue when it crashed, according to police.

One of the vehicles was occupied, but no one was injured, police said.

Police determined Mercado was driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.
