Police Seek Masked Suspect Behind Pacifica Safeway Theft

The suspect took money and restrained an employee before fleeing the store, according to police.

PACIFICA, CA- Police are seeking a masked suspect who allegedly robbed a Pacifica grocery store Friday night, before taking an undisclosed amount of cash.

At 10:46 p.m., officers responded to a Safeway store located at 1380 Linda Mar Blvd. for a report of a robbery, according to police.

Store employees told officers that at around 10:15 p.m. the suspect entered the store and gained access to the store’s safe room, police said.

The suspect then took money and restrained an employee before fleeing the store, according to police.

Police described the suspect as a white male wearing a black hooded ski jacket with tan lining and khaki pants. The suspect also wore a mask that looked like the face of an older man. The suspect possibly had a firearm, police said.
