Chabad of Pacific Heights presents the Rosh Hashanah Expo, Sunday September 7 from 1 to 4pm at the JCC of San Francisco. The Rosh Hashanah Expo will feature a live Jewish holiday cooking show and tastings with the renowned Bay Area kosher pop-up Chef Yitzhak Bernstein of Epic Bites, honey tasting from local farm Marshalls Honey, and a shofar factory where participants will create their own shofar to take home with them. Rabbi Shmulik Friedman will teach a High Holidays synagogue tutorial to familiarize us with the deeper meaning of the prayers and synagogue setting, and a sofer-scribe will be on hand to check guests’ Mezuzahs on-site, strengthening one’s spiritual defense system as we enter the new year. The Rosh Hashanah Expo will be exciting for all ages! For more information or for tickets visit www.jewishpacheights.org. Suggested donations of $5 ($15 includes shofar factory) are accepted toward entry, an additional fee will apply for checking services from the scribe.
