Protect Yourself: South San Francisco Lawmakers Hosting Senior Scam Stopper Seminar
Event is planned for this Friday, Sept. 16.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – A local law maker is hosting a workshop aimed at helping senior citizens protect themselves from becoming victims of fraud.
The Senior Scam Stopper seminar is free to attend and is planned for Friday, Sept. 16 at the San Buno Senior Senter, 1555 Crystal Springs Road.
"One in five seniors has been a victim of fraud and new scams are developed constantly," an event announcement states. "Learn how to protect yourself."

Assemblymember Kevin Mullin, San Mateo County Supervisor Dave Pine and the Contractors State License Board are helping put on the event.
"Seniors, their families and caregivers are welcome to attend," organizers say.
