What is Miss Relay?
The Miss Relay Pageant is a contest that will be held for the fourth time at Relay For Life San Bruno - and it’s not your average beauty pageant! The Miss Relay Pageant is an opportunity for participants to compete for the honor of being crowned Miss Relay of San Bruno. The purpose of the contest is to raise money, while having some fun! Contestants dress up in their favorite pageant dresses and try and win over the crowd with their brains, beauty and talent! All funds are credited to contestant’s Team.
Who can enter the Miss Relay Pageant?
The pageant is for any registered Relay participant (Must be 16 or older). Each contestant must be a member of a team and must be willing to dress up.
When is the Miss Relay Pageant?
The Miss Relay Pageant will be held on Saturday, April 23rd beginning at 7:30pm. Contestants should be dressed and ready for the pageant by 7:15 pm. The contest will last approximately 30-45 minutes. Contestants must apply by 6:00pm.
Contest Rules
· All teams are encouraged to enter the contest.
· No limit to the number of contestants from each team.
· All contestants must be a registered member of a registered team.
· All contestants will provide their own appropriate pageant attire.
· There will not be a swim suit portion of the contest (HA-HA!).
· All contestants must be 16 years of age or older. There is no maximum age limit.
· Each contestant will be introduced to the Relay crowd and asked to answer pageant questions AND showcase a particular “talent”.
· Each contestant needs to bring a purse/small bag to collect donations from the Relay crowd for a specified period of time during the competition.
· Collection of money may NOT be done prior to the event.
· Donations will be counted and whoever collects the highest amount will be deemed the winner of the pageant. All collected funds credited to each contestant’s Team.
· The winner will be crowned and lead the “Court” in the special “Miss Relay Lap”
