  • I'll be live-Tweeting tonight's school board meeting using the hashtag #ssfusdboard at 18:14
  • Swinerton starting presentation about the role of program manager #ssfusdboard at 18:20
  • For Sept. 8 board meeting, Swinerton will provide count of portables in use on campuses and have estimate for replacing them. #ssfusdboard at 19:19
  • Cost for implementing highest estimated cost plan for five campuses would be $193 million, more than bond.#ssfusdboard at 19:21
  • District will have to prioritize improvements. Board stated its priority is replacing portables, safety and ADA compliance. #ssfusdboard at 19:22

[At this point in the meeting, Board President Maurice Goodman arrived, late because he had another obligation. He was concerned that by stating the board would prioritize replacing portables at all schools, the district would be moving away from language in the bond measure that prioritized improvements at five specific school sites. Nevertheless, Swinerton will provide information about the cost of replacing portable classrooms at all schools so the board can make further decisions.]
