See's Candies Sweetens National Lollypop Day With A Freebie

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO — See’s Candies is commemorating National Lollypop Day today by giving away free lollypops.

Customers can pick up a free wrapped lollypop at its shops, and those who order for in-store pick-up will also receive a free lollypop with their orders.

Additionally, customers who purchase candy online from July 17 to July 25, will also receive a free lollypop with their delivery.

“This National Lollypop Day we’re excited to celebrate by gifting a free Lollypop to sweeten someone’s day,” said Pat Egan, President & CEO of See’s Candies.

See’s Candies has been making its distinctly square-shaped lollypop since 1998. It has been making lollypops throughout nearly all its 100-year history.

See’s Candies’ Classic Lollypops are available in Vanilla, Butterscotch, Chocolate, Cinnamon and Café Latte. They are made in See’s Candies lollypop kitchen, an entirely nut-free facility in Burlingame, Calif. Seasonal flavors including Root Beer are currently available for a limited time.

See’s Candies holds the honor of the World’s Largest lollypop in the Guinness Book of World Records after the company made its classic sweet treat into a giant confection weighing over 7,000 pounds (which is equal to 145,000 of the regular-sized Lollypops).

Egan described the factory as a special place.

“I love going to our lollypop factory. It’s not just because the smell and feel of the place is magic. It’s that I know every shiny wrapper is going to bring a smile. While See’s is known for our fresh, premium and American-made chocolates and peanut brittle, our Classic Lollypops are just the best flavor and quality and have been for decades,”
