South San Francisco Lawmakers Hosting Town Hall On Health Care

Congresswoman Speier, State Senator Hill and Assemblyman Mullin will co-host "A Conversation about America: Health Care."

PACIFICA, CA — Congresswoman Jackie Speier (CA-14) will host her tenth town hall this year, titled “A Conversation about America: Health Care,” at the Terra Nova High School Theater in Pacifica on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from noon to 1 p.m. She will be joined by State Senator Jerry Hill and Assemblyman Kevin Mullin to discuss how federal and state bills will impact health care coverage in California and answer questions from constituents.

“Americans are worried about their health care for good reasons,” Rep. Speier said. “The current proposals in Congress aren’t just mean; they will cost lives. Tens of millions will lose their insurance and people age 50 and older could see their premiums quintuple. We need to protect the care of our seniors, children, veterans, and people with disabilities instead of giving the richest 1% of Americans a massive tax cut.”

This is one in an ongoing series of town halls that Rep. Speier has hosted since the 2016 elections. Previous town halls have been held in Pacifica, San Francisco, San Mateo, South San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, and Redwood City.
