South San Francisco Man Among Trio Arrested For Alleged Mail, Identity Theft

The three were arrested in Milpitas after a report of people rifling through mailboxes, police said.

MILPITAS, CA -- Three people, including one from South San Francisco, were arrested last week in connection with mail and identity theft in Milpitas, according to police. 

Police said officers responded around 4:15 a.m. on June 8 to Singley Drive on reports of two people rummaging through residential mailboxes and removing mail.

Officers arrested the two people on suspicion of mail theft.

During the initial investigation, officers discovered a parked blue Dodge Caravan occupied by a woman in the 400 block of Corinthia Drive.

According to police, the vehicle was allegedly associated with the couple and a search of it revealed several identification cards, credit cards, checks, tools and electronic equipment that did not belong to the group.

As a result of their investigation, police were able to identify 19 victims of mail theft or auto burglary.

The couple, identified as Jessica Flores, 30, of Antioch, and Noah Kerran, 34, of South San Francisco, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of mail theft, identity theft and conspiracy.

According to police, the woman in the vehicle, identified as Kathleen Russell, 31, of Fremont, had outstanding warrants for her arrest and was allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

In addition to her arrest warrants, Russell was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of
paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property.
