South San Francisco Man Arrested in Hit-and Run on El Camino Real
BREAKING: The suspect returned to San Bruno accident scene "after a significant period of time had elapsed," police said.

SAN BRUNO, CA β A South San Francisco driver was arrested Friday morning in San Bruno on suspicion of hit-and-run when he returned to the scene of injury collision that occurred late Thursday night, police said.
Samuel Pinfold, 55, was booked into the county jail following an investigation into the collision involving a pedestrian near El Camino Real and Citation Avenue.
Police responded to the collision at 11:48 p.m., and when they arrived they found a 42-year-old man lying in the road with serious injuries, according to police.

The victim was conscious and was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Pinfold allegedly left the scene and returned some time later, "after a significant period of time had elapsed," police said. He allegedly spoke with officers and was allowed to leave after the conversation.

But investigators later found evidence that contradicted what Pinfold told officers and he was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
