SSF Man Accused In Local Killings

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Nearly two days after a "violent altercation" in San Mateo County left two people dead, authorities have arrested suspects in the case. Meanwhile, we're learning more about those who lost their lives.
According to police, a shooting was first reported at 8:40 p.m. Sunday in front of Hillside Market near Hillside Boulevard and Villa Street in the unincorporated community of Broadmoor. A woman died at the scene and a man died at the hospital a short time later. A third victim suffered injuries not considered life-threatening.
Coroner's officials say 21-year-old Vanessa Guillory of San Francisco was the first to die in the deadly incident.

A Half Moon Bay resident, 22-year-old Michael Garcia-Salem, was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died, according to the coroner's office.
"Autopsy examinations are scheduled for February 27, 2018 and causes of death have not yet been determined," the San Mateo County coroner's office said.

Details surrounding the incident are still limited, but two suspects have now been arrested in the case, a county supervisor confirmed Tuesday.
Devin Lum, 20, of South San Francisco was arrested on suspicion of two counts of murder and Guardado Duff, 23, of Oakland, was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory.
San Mateo County Supervisor David Canepa confirmed the suspects were in custody and expressed his condolences Tuesday afternoon.
Police believe the suspects and the victims knew each other and an altercation occurred before the victims were shot.
