"Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims in Sonoma County..." the city said in a news release.

San Mateo County: San Mateo County has sent a strike team of five engines and two battalion chiefs to assist at the Kincade Fire in Sonoma County. The fire has burned more than 66,000 acres, with only 5% containment, and over 180,000 evacuated. 80,000 structures are threatened.
South San Francisco is contributing one engine in this strike team. At the same time, we have another battalion chief leading a separate San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services (OES) engine strike team at the same incident.
Additionally, four South San Francisco Police officers are on a 12-hour rotational basis to assist with evacuations and mutual aid assistance.
