Storm To Dump Rain On South San Francisco Before Slight Break

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — Peninsula residents can look forward to some more rain in the coming days, followed by a brief period of dry weather before the storms return, forecasters said Thursday.

"An active weather pattern will continue for the rest of the week with cool temperatures and periods of rainfall along with gusty winds at times," the National Weather Service said in its forecast discussion. "Dry conditions will develop over the weekend. Wet weather will potentially return during the first half of next week."

A chance of rain before 11am, then showers likely after 11am. Cloudy, with a high near 54. South southwest wind 11 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Showers. Low around 44. Southwest wind 11 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. Some of the storms could produce small hail. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. West southwest wind 10 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
