Summertime Fun at Award Winning San Mateo County Fair.

The award winning San Mateo County Fair 2026 is back again to bring you fun, romance, amazing adventures with two free days for seniors (6/11)and kids(6/12). The fair opened on June 5, Saturday and ends on January 14, Sunday (June 5 to June 14). The brand-new Drone Light Show will be illuminating the skies which reminds me of the Light Show at Sagrada Familia Barcelona when the Pope visited to bless the long awaited opening of the cathedral.

As always the fair featured live concert band music like the Bayside 101 Music Festival, rap-rock group Gym Class Heroes and other bands and DJs.

I remember the animatronic dinosaurs and dragons at the Expo Hall, not only they were entertaining but also provided background educational history and engaged interactively with the audience.

Since this is part of Silicon Valley, the fair showcases Ameca, one of the world's most advanced talking humanoid robots is at the Expo Hall to interact with attendees with conversations.

Special attractions are daily duck races, Alaskan racing pigs, synchronized drone light shows, cultural exhibitions, black history booths, farm workers history, animal livestock.

This year’s sub-theme is "In Bloom". Don’t forget to see creative home arts, fine arts, and community innovation contests, cooking demos, eating contests. Several display of floral, garden landscape, table settings , jewelry show, junior artists exhibition from several schools.

I wasn’t able to submit my art pieces this year for on the days of submission, I was out of town. No regrets , I’d been participating for the last five years, not only my pieces received ribbons but some pieces were sold.
