Family event celebrates company's 100-year anniversary

The community and members of the media are cordially invited to South San Francisco Scavenger Company’s Open House, celebrating 100 years of service and innovation. Free event.

WHEN: Sunday, October 12, 2014, 11:00AM – 2:00PM
WHERE: 500 East Jamie Court (off East Grand Ave and Haskins Way) 
South San Francisco, CA 94080
. Ample parking is available.
WHAT: Open House featuring activities for the whole family. Play recycling games, explore SSFSC’s trucks, balers and other equipment, or go on guided tours of the whole facility, including the award-winning green buildings, 4R Learning Center, recycling sort-lines and the brand new anaerobic digester, set to convert food scraps and yard trimmings into compost and clean fuel for SSFSC’s collection vehicles. Light refreshments will be available.
WHO: Members of the public and the media are invited to this free event. South San Francisco Scavenger Company particularly welcomes members of the communities it serves, including South San Francisco, Brisbane, Millbrae and Colma.
