Teen Attacked, Robbed in South San Francisco: Police

BREAKING: Police say the boy was hit on the head from behind as he was walking.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA β€” Police are looking for two people suspected of robbing a teenage boy Monday in South San Francisco as he was walking on a local street. At 4:05 p.m., police say the victim was walking in the 400 block of Alida Way when two suspects approached him from behind.

"One suspect hit the victim in the back of his head with a closed fist twice," police said in a news release. "The second suspect stole a cellular phone from the victim."

The 17-year-old victim was hit so hard that he suffered head swelling, police said.

The suspects fled on foot and headed south on Alida Way, police said.

One suspect is described as a Filipino male about 17 years old who is 5 feet 9 inches tall, 160 to 170 pounds, with short black hair and no facial hair. He was wearing sweatpants and a black hooded sweatshirt,
according to police. The second suspect, also believed to be Filipino, is described as a male about 17 years old, police said.
