Ask the average adult over 40 how to get in shape, and you'll hear the same answers. Do more cardio. Eat less. Push through the soreness. Most of it sounds right. Most of it is wrong.

A local personal training studio decided to put it to the test.

The Fitness Tech, a private studio on Linden Avenue in South San Francisco, has spent 16 years helping everyday adults get in shape. Not athletes. Not gym people.
