Tourist Stabbed in Head While Visiting San Francisco

Police say the man was stabbed in the head while he was being robbed by a woman and man.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA- A tourist suffered life-threatening injuries Thursday night when he was stabbed in the head and robbed of his belongings near San Francisco’s Japantown neighborhood.

At around 8:30 p.m., the man, who is visiting the city from abroad, was with a family member near Post and Franklin streets when an unknown male and female attacked the pair, according to police.

One of the two suspects then stabbed the man in the head before taking his bag, which contained cash, credit cards, a cellphone and the victim’s passport, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with a stab wound to the head.

The male suspect is described as being between 30 and 40 years old and the female suspect is described as being in her late 20s, police said. The suspects fled on foot and officers were unable to locate them.
