Two South San Francisco Schools Receive $1,000 Donations
The money comes with no strings attached.

Wells Fargo presented forty-three $1,000 checks to principals and representatives of primary schools in San Mateo County Wednesday, including El Camino High School and Martin Elementary School in South San Francisco.
As part of its annual Community Connection Grant Program, managers of Wells Fargo stores selected neighborhood schools to receive the $1,000 grants, and reiterated support of store team members volunteerism and involvement in local communities.
San Mateo County District 3 Supervisor Don Horsley and County Superintendent of Schools Anne Campbell shared remarks at the event, reiterating a call to action to support local schools.βWells Fargo values our communities where our team members live and work,β said Wendy Haller, president of Wells Fargoβs Peninsula market. βOne way we help our local communities is by providing funds to our local schools. Each of our Peninsula store managers selected one school that would receive a $1,000 grant, and principals will have the flexibility to spend the money in whatever way will best benefit their students. Our educators have the critical responsibility of teaching our next generation of leaders, and we believe itβs important to support their effort through collaboration, contributions and volunteerism.β
