Weather Conditions Delay Dozens of Flights at SFO
Dozens of flights have been delayed Tuesday morning at SFO airport due to weather conditions but other area airports were not impacted.
SAN FRANCISCO - Dozens of flights have been delayed Tuesday morning at San Francisco International Airport due to weather conditions.
Ongoing showers and moderate winds in the region have caused 54 flight delays and only 4 flight cancellations at SFO this morning, according to airport Duty Manager Joe Walsh.
The affected flights are delayed between 15 and 60 minutes.

According to Walsh, considering that SFO receives anywhere between 900 and 1,300 flights a day, the small number of flights cancelled is a good sign.
Other Bay Area airports are reporting minimal impacts. At Oakland International Airport, things are running normally, as no flights have been canceled or delayed, airport spokeswoman Keonnis Taylor said.

Additionally, Mineta San Jose International Airport has not had any cancellations or delays due to weather, airport spokeswoman Rosemary Barnes said.
According to the National Weather Service, cloudy and windy weather will persist throughout the day, and more showers with potential thunderstorms are a possibility.
Travelers are encouraged to check with their airlines for specific flight information.
