"Ghost Mode" rides are available Friday and Saturday in San Francisco.

San Francisco, CA- Ever wanted to tool around in the Ghostbusters' Ecto-1? If you're a full-blooded American, the answer is yes.
This weekend in San Francisco, you'll get the opportunity to not only ride in the iconic station wagon, but do it for free, thanks to a "ghost mode" promotion from mobile ride-hailing service Lyft. It's part of the run-up to the lady-led Ghostbusters reboot, out July 15.

Slightly confusing cross-promotion? Sure. But who can argue with a) a free ride and b) the peak of Ghostbusters nerd-dom?
"Ghost Mode" rides are available Friday and Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. San Francisco is one of five cities where the promotion will be offered. Other locations are Los Angeles, New York City, Boston and Washington, D.C.
